k.o. kidz CEO, KAREN ORLICH PRESENTS THE POWCH! AT ‘BLOGGERS MEET STARTUPS’ IN CHICAGO

Karen-Orlich-headshot-indiegogo-video4.2015squareKaren Orlich, Founder/CEO of k.o. kidz Corp. was a featured presenter for the May 2015 Bloggers Meet Startups* event, hosted by Front & Social Media, at Chicago’s premier community working space, Next Door.

Karen shared her professional experience and the transition from ‘Corporate America’ to eco-fighting inventor as she turned her passion for green-living into a startup (k.o. kidz Corp-‘Fighting for a Greener Planet’) focused on eco-friendly products, healthy living resource/blog, and giving back (a portion of EVERY sale will go to a children’s education or environmental conservation charity).

caralgallagher-photoAlso featured was Cara Gallagher who has worked in the fields of law and education for over ten years.  She teaches American politics and Constitutional Law at the Latin School of Chicago, writes about federal court cases, and works at a law firm in Chicago.  In the fall of 2013 she merged her passions for both education and the law by creating SupremeBystandr.com.

supreme-bystandr-logoSupremeBystandr is a website and podcast for the curious and devoted Supreme Court watchers and everyone in between.  Last fall, Cara became a weekly contributor to George Washington University Law Professor and USA Today writer Jonathan Turley’s legal website JonathanTurley.com.  This summer, she returns to D.C. to cover the final weeks of the Supreme Court’s term.
